2019 Competition Kick Off!

The Nederland Pirates gathered on Saturday morning to start the 2019 season. The team elected three co-captains for the season, each with an area of focus:

• Hakan Chunton, Software
• Cody Martin, Electronics
• Oliver Vernon, Build

Next was an initial strategy session where the team prioritized 1) Climbing, 2) Hatches, and then 3) Balls. The decision process started with scoring and discussion of timing, but also included the need to have a solid chassis and drive strategy to support the priorities.

A big "Thank You" goes to Nederland Elementary for letting us use their Discovery Lab for the day.
